Diclofenac 167 mg Compounded Hydrogel Patches
Restore Patches are compounded prescription hydrogel patches containing diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug also known as an NSAID.
Each flexible 2 × 3-inch patch contains 167 mg of diclofenac. The hydrogel patch is applied directly to the treatment area and designed to release the prescribed medication gradually while worn.
Restore Patches are compounded by Restore Pharmaceuticals in Mississauga, Ontario following assessment by a licensed prescriber and verification by a pharmacist.

WHY A HYDROGEL PATCH?
The hydrogel patch provides a convenient format for applying prescribed topical medication to a localized area.
Its flexible size allows it to be placed over many muscles, joints and soft-tissue areas. Your prescriber determines the appropriate treatment area, number of patches, application schedule and duration of use.
Although diclofenac is applied topically, some medication can still be absorbed into the body. Your healthcare provider must determine whether the patch is appropriate based on your health history, allergies and current medications.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Diclofenac 167 mg
Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Each Restore Patch contains 167 mg of diclofenac in a compounded hydrogel formulation for localized application as prescribed.
The patch may be used independently or as one part of a broader treatment plan.
HOW TO APPLY A RESTORE PATCH

Clean and completely dry the application area. Remove any cream, oil or lotion that could interfere with the adhesive.

Peel away the protective plastic backing to expose the adhesive side.

Place the patch over the prescribed treatment area and press firmly, paying particular attention to the edges.

Wear the patch for the period printed on your prescription label. Do not wear it for longer than 12 hours unless specifically directed by your prescriber.

Wash your hands after applying the patch unless your hands are the treatment area.

To remove the patch, gently peel it away as you would remove a bandage. Water or a wet cloth can help loosen the adhesive.

Fold the used patch with the adhesive sides together and dispose of it safely where children and pets cannot reach it.
Apply one patch at a time unless your prescription directs you otherwise.
IF THE PATCH LIFTS
If an edge begins to lift, smooth it back down and press firmly.
If the patch comes off and will not re-adhere, replace it according to your pharmacist’s directions. Do not use tape or a tight bandage to hold the patch in place unless specifically instructed.
Keep the patch as dry as possible. Avoid swimming, bathing and heavy sweating while wearing it.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Use only according to the directions on your prescription label.
• Apply only to clean, dry and intact skin. Avoid broken skin, wounds, rashes, infected areas, eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas.
• Do not use a heating pad, hot-water bottle or tight covering over the patch. Avoid saunas and hot tubs while wearing it.
• Tell your prescriber or pharmacist about all medications, allergies and medical conditions, including pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Stop using the patch and contact your healthcare provider if you experience a rash, significant irritation or another unexpected reaction. Seek immediate medical care for symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Store Restore Patches at room temperature away from direct light, excessive heat and moisture.
Keep unused patches sealed in their original packaging and out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not use a patch after the beyond-use date printed on your prescription label. Fold used patches with the adhesive sides together before disposal.
